If the subject doesn't for you it'd be not practical to use a grey card or an expodisc for manual WB. i.e street shoots, fashion, performance, concert and sports.
In these situations how do you guys set the white balance or correct the white balance?
Do you guys manually adjust the WB of the shoots one by one and verify the WB by eye?
If the direction of the light is different, I don't think I can set a reference point and do a batch WB, right?

If the direction of the light is different, I don't think I can set a reference point and do a batch WB, right? It's not the direction so much as the color of the light. Be careful of light bounced off things like colored buildings or filtered through trees, though. In these situations how do you guys set the white balance or correct the white balance? Regarding WB generally, reality isn't everything. Would we try to make a sunset neutral? The "Correct" WB may not be the "Right" WB for a image. Remember, you're the judge of your own image. We used to use gels to add "romance" to our car shots for ad agencies.
Gray Card…White Paper. What’s best? (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=58677)
In this thread, I set the tungsten pre-set & used the guys white t-shirt to post process:
The Johnny Headband Band (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=372180)
In this one, same preset & I adjusted WB by eye.
Barbara Payton @ ISO 3200 (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=497298) Do you guys manually adjust the WB of the shoots one by one and verify the WB by eye? In a series of shots in the same situation, my RAW converter will allow me to copy the settings from one shot & apply those settings to whatever shots I want to. I might still tweak individual shots after that. My eye makes the decision.
Again, The "Correct" WB may not be the "Right" WB for a image.

P mode, ETTL flash always on (even when you don't really need it, AWB.
Nobody cars about correct white balance, exposure, or even sharpness in pappo piccies. In other words, competence is irrelevant. If it's a cooch and belongs to something famous, you're blingin', baby.

Shoot RAW tweak later.Ditto.
In addition, since I shoot RAW Plus Large JPG all the time, I do try to choose the best WB setting in the camera (for the JPG images). If I need to tweak something in post-processing, I'll work with the RAW images.
I absolutely never use the AWB setting, because it is wrong more than it is right for the work I seem to do.

Shoot RAW tweak later.
In paparazzi style shooting, the tweaking later bit might mean that your image doesn't sell because someone else beat you to it. Just shoot AWB and get your image out first. Now if time is not important because its only the paparazzi style that your interested in, then shooting RAW and tweaking each image will be the best. If you can batch several under the same conditions, then the temperature will be very similar and you can save some time.

Hmm... Quote of the day in my book!
Sounds like a marketing slogan for those right angle spy len's....For those times when you want to discretly shoot cooch at the beach.
