Just three (3) of my youngest son Michael, and our little killer K9 Scrappy. Any advice, suggestions, tips, and/or observations will be most appreciated.

Dante .. at the higest setting (which is what I use), I can get close to 700 images (could be slightly less depending on ISO settings, etc..). To date, I have never filled it in one shooting session. :-)

You probably have 1 GB card, not 1 MB. ;)

Maybe bring the mid tones up just a tad in curves? Otherwise, I love this series. Very well done!! Handsome son. And I can see why you call the K9 a killer, he looks like a very tough pooch!!!

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions. This B&W thing is quite new to me, as is post processing. I have PhotoShop CS but have been leaning toward using PaintShop Pro v 9.10 which I find easier to use. PhotoShopCS seems just to intimidating for me, although the slider controls when editing RAW images seem unsurpassed (IMO).
Here's a better side of Scrappy. He's really a ham and quite fun to be around ...;)

Charlesu.. I toured your site, and it's clear you're a professional -- you do awesome work.
If I may, do you feel this is a decent portrait? I took this image of a co-worker who's retiring this year. I was right next to him, called his name then snapped the image as he looked at me.
I have printed it in 8x10 format and will give it to him as a gift. I saw your portraits and loved the way you frame your subjects.
Any advice, tips or suggestions regarding this will be most humbly appreciated. Also, I'd like to start going a tad further in this hobby of mine .. can you offer any advice for someone just starting out .. tips on obtaining exposure, techniques etc?
