How Is It Done?

I would like to post an add for a lens I no longer need. It does have some cosmetic flaws that I would like to demonstrate or point out in the photo's I intend to post of the lens. I have seen ads before were folks have drawn a circle or a line with an arrow to highlight something bad or good about the item. How is that Done? Thanks in advance.

They'll use PhotoShop or another photo editing program to do that.

Thanks for the tip. I guess I knew PS was a tool for this, but had not played with it until now. Easier than I expected.

In Photoshop, to get a circle just use the selection ellipse tool constrained to be circular and select the part you want to circle, then apply a stroke to the selection.
