Hi All,
As some of you know, I've been slowly creating myself a studio to do portrait and product photography. Well, today, I've finally finished all the works I needed to do to do product shots (I'm about a week away from being truely ready for portrait work).
I've spent a lot of time building myself a good shooting table. Top surface is 120cm x 120cm (~ 4foot x 4foot). The table itself can now handle weight of approx. 200kg (I'll be doing some engine shots soon). It is a steel frame and has high weight capacity castors with brakes. Top surface 15mm MDF sheet that I can replace easily. On this top surface I can obviosuly put on different papers/materials etc.
So, was a lot of work, but it will last me for ever :)
Below are some shots of items themselves and the lighting set up. What I don't have in shot is the paper roll system I have (the paint was still wet :))
The subjects and setups themselves are not very exciting, or even well composed, but I have proven I can set up a shot how I like, but still be able to push the whole shooting match out of the way when I need to do portrait work.
Cheers
Ian
