That place seems spooky cool. Kinda something like those cable tv ghosthunter guys would use for a show.
Where is this located?

Nice. Kinda reminds me of the Silent Hill video game for some reason.

Nice shots. Often urban decay shots often really have a lot of contrast to emphasize texture, but it's nice to see it a bit more subtle approach to the genre.

Thanks everyone for the comments... highly appreciated. Sorry, I've been away from the computer and couldn't answer any of your questions. This hospital is off of the 5 frwy on fourth st and st. louis. there is a skate park right across the street. When I went there was a small film crew shooting a short film. But I told the fire dpt. guy and a crew member I was a location scout and they let me in to shoot. It wasn't as satisfying as tresspassing, but it was kind of nice to not have to worry about anything. I used to scout locations so if your going to use that excuse, have something to back that up. Peace everyone and keep creating!

That's exactly what I wanted. I've been that other person that puts emphasis on texture and tons of tone mapping in photomatix, but i'm trying to stay away from that or even when I do use it, I try to make it as subtle as possible. But thank you for the compliments. Glad you like the series.
Peace!

I think I might be setting up a photo shoot there soon. I think that would be an amazing spot for a strobist meet. hmmmmmmm?

#5 is striking. great detail, texture, and the frame is filled perfectly.

Thanks for the compliment. Really appreciate the feedback. I did use flash. Left the tripod in the car so I had to you bounce, but it worked out this time. I was going to try some different things with strobes, but left those in the car as well. Once again thanks for the feedback. Peace!
