I have a few questions that i don't feel like looking up online and getting technical answers for. I want stupid answers.

What is ISO?

I know the smaller the AF, a shorter range will be in focus in the picture (I hope that sounds right) and the larger the AF, a bigger range will be in focus. I also know that the Tv(on my camera) allows me to adjust the shutter speed.

What does ISO do besides make the picture ugly(noise)? haha. I have increased it, on my camera I only have Auto, 50, 100, 200, and 400. It's an A80.

Also, what do you guys use for noise reduction? I have Adobe Elements 3.0, Photoshop CS, and Paint Shop Pro 9.0. Will one of these do the trick?

Thanks for any replies in advance.

I can give you good answers to your questions but you are looking for stupid answers, as you stated in your post, so I'm afraid I can't help you there.

I want stupid answers. :-?

Anyways, ISO, in photography is used to define the sensibility of the film(or in digital the CCD or CMOS sensor). A higher sensibility (high ISO number) will produce a faster exposure or more light will fill the sensor, but at the price of image noise(which can be seen like coloured specks if you zoom the image very much).
You generally use high iso numbers when shooting in dark light conditions and you don't want to sacrifice shutter speed due to camera shake. Also a larger sensor will produce less noise at high ISO numbers.SO you should try to keeo it asa low as possible when taking photos.

I think you mean MF(manual focus). AF means auto focus. When set on MF your camera shows the distance at which it can focus (from a few centimeters up to infinity). If you set it at the lowest value 5-6 cm(depending on camera) objects farther away than this distance will appear out of focus and blurry.

and by the way... you should have posted this in small compacts, because thats what your camera is.

Actually what I meant was Av(should have been looking at it.)

I would have posted this in small compacts, but I plan on getting a Rebel XT
