I'm going to come out with my own line of "Happy Global Warming" cards. December 22nd, 2008 and it's 17C (62F).

A Hoverfly shot at three times life size with a Canon MPE-65mmm macro lens.

These are also my first set with the Canon 50D. For those of you having problems with the 40D and the MT-24EX the 50D's light meter is a lot more reliable. But it is also noisier than the 40D...

its odd how unreliable exposure is with the 40D/MT-24EX, no such problem with the MR-14EX. These look fine, I presume the 50D sensor is not much noisier?

Love that second shot :-)

Global warming? You are the lucky one then LOL - wish it was slightly warmer here.

both shots are awesome, great colors, sharpness and composition.

don't know about global warming though, it's really cold right now in Israel, around 15-17C during the day. yeah i know lol, sounds pretty warm at this time of year but for us it's colder than usual (we're used to around 20C at this time)

Great shots. I have not been able to capture a good hover shot with my mpe-65 yet. Dont know how you guys do it.
So does the mt-24 not a good match up with the 40D? Does the MT-24 shoot a red beam like the regular flashes?

Care to elaborate on that 50D noise issue? I'm saving for a 5D myself, to supplement my 40D but a few buddies are looking at the 50D.

Cracking shots btw, as always.
