I had Pekka remove the poll. We have found that we can use the name Canon, it just can't be in their style or typeface.
Sorry for the confusion. We will be reposting as soon as we have the new samples to put up.

With Conk, Sheldon and Pekka's help, I'm trying to throw together a few more concepts for the poll while we still have a little time before Sheldon gets back and sets it up.
I've already seen what will likely be the winner (hint, it looks like the new POTN banner ;)), but we want to give everyone a few options.
Any of these worth adding to the list, or any ideas on how to rework these? I have it all layered out in Photoshop right now, so I can change it all around pretty quickly.

Great news! I like Phil's #3 with implied sharpie.

I would say it would be better to put www.photography-on-the.net on top left.
General rule is that too many typefaces makes it look messy, so #3 looks best to me.
P.S. I know it is really not my design, but what about the logo we have now on top as it is?

I actually really like that one the best so far, Pekka, except that I think the text of the left is a little small, and might be very hard to read on the strap. A little larger and I think it would be just perfect.

This one has my vote, Maybe Canon in red? Or the L in digital in red?

But I think the smaller version is more stylish :)

Now we're talking. That looks perfect to me. I think I'm voting for that instead of the ones I threw together.

Pekka, do you mind if I ask what font the word Forums is done it?
Thanks

I agree ... I like your original proposal better. I understand Phil's concern about size, but I think it just looks a little better.

It definitely looks better with the smaller type, but it's not going to be this large on the strap I think (depend on your monitor resolution of course). What was the silkscreen size again? I forget.

Pekka has my vote I liked the original one that he did with the smaller fonts. But I like the red L also I have my sharpie ready...

I found Ian's original post:
"The space that is available for screening is 5.25 x 3/4 inches".
3/4 of an inch overall height is pretty small, putting the url line at no larger than 1/8 of an inch from the first example, since it is only about 1/6th the height of the frame.
Pekka, I actually think your original one works fine just cropped down to match the ratio of the actual silkscreen area.

I'll get back to this thread when I have more time and add my 2 cents on the design and font but one thing came to mind while reading this. Should we maybe have this printed on the ends of the strap instead of in the middle where it will be hidden behind your neck? That way it will be more visible.

I think it was mentioned previously that our only choice is on the wide part of the strap - that's the only place they print.
