Well our wedding photographer has gone bankrupt, and we aren't getting anything out of him as he still owes us our video and album.

i do have the file for the flush mount album and the raw video footage. My wife and i are looking for some one that can possibly print our 41 page flush mounted wedding album and edit our video with additional pictures and the music that we picked.

We have everything ready to go, we just need a source to have this stuff completed. I have gotten quotes for the album printing (no design necessary) and the video, but am looking for some help here from my POTN friends.

We have a letter from him saying that he is going bankrupt and all that, so releases should be necessary. he also sent us all the raw files for the pictures on DVD.

Can anyone offer their printing and video editing services to us? Please reply here or PM me with information, or quotes if applicable.

My wife and really appreciate this as we have been trying to move on from this situation.

Regards,
Brandon

Album designs are generally specific to a manufacturer. Can you tell us more about them? Are they single or double pages? What the size and resolution of each layout? Do they have bleed? Do you know what album company he was originally using? This will still cost you a fair amount of cash, albums really aren't cheap even if you find someone to do it at cost price.

I don't know anything about video editing, except that it takes AGES. Expect to pay a professional a fair sum to do this, I expect the price will likely have 4 digits. You might investigate some kind of student on a video production course, they might take it on as a project, but of course they'll want to be paid - just less than a professional. There's obviously a risk there, if you do it that way ask to see a small section before they do the whole thing.

It's obviously close to Christmas, so replies may be slow coming in.

Tim,

Thank you very much for the response. I will have to check on your questions when i am home and can pull up the file.

I am expecting it to cost a fair amount of money for both (love paying for things twice!) but am just searching for some of you wedding gods to see if someone would be able to help out with the printing and video editing.

thanks and happy holidays.

I'll help you out with the album if I can, but I suspect having a US album company will be a better idea. Hopefully one of the other pros based in the US will be able to help you. I should be online at xmas, but maybe not, so patience might be required :)

I'm curious; Did you pay with a credit card?
If so, have you filed a complaint with your card company?

no, we paid by check. that would have been a good idea though.

Brian, thanks i will ask the boss (wife) what she wants to do... i think there is 3 or 4 miniDV tapes. we have gotten a quote for $600. we were going to do a few childhood/growing up pictures, plus the video and the music we selected.
