given the bigger one is about 1.5-2mm and in the background the baby can't be more than 0.25mm:

it is and suprised to learn its a species I haven't shot before ie Sminthurinus reticulatus

Hmm - my last "baby" springtail turned out to be a different species :) - must remember to take more notice of them
