Ok Im not totally sure where this picture goes... so I hope Im close. I took this with my XSI and a ran down house. I thought it was a little different then the basic pictures I took there so tell me what you think. Thanks, Derek.

The focal point of the curtain rod is giving me a headache. The end of the rod is right in my face and oof, so its almost like AAaahhhhhhh! And naturally my eye goes right to the end of the rod. Sorry to say, but this is not a good shot.

Ok cool. I agree. I have another picture of it and the end of the rod is in focus.. but my DOF wasnt very deep so only the ball was in focus... I guess I was just tryin to make a picture out of nothin. It was below freezing out and I was in a hurry... thats what you get when you rush it I guess. Thanks guys.

I think you want to move away from shooting the rod end as the central focal point. maybe just step back and away slightly and shoot with less angle up the rod?
