It erks me that I cut off that one petal on the far right. What are some other problems you folks see. This picture was heavily photoshopped (for me). I spent over an hour on it. Desaturated everything but the flowers and them I saturated. Other things messed with as well. Took it at a wedding. I had it printed for my Grandmother for Christmas...she liked it.
Thanks,
Tim

Was it your intention to have only the right daisy in focus using a shallow DOF?

Cutting off parts of a flower doesn't have to be bad. Take a look at these (http://www.mrwild.co.nz/Featured/Nature/index.html).

Tim,
Agreed. I took a bunch of flower pics at this wedding and many lookgreat. Heck, I think this one looks great. I see it as a "near miss" because there is only one petal cut off on the flower that is in focus. In this instance I think the full flower should have been included. I still like it alot, it's just not perfect.

I forgot to say, it's still a nice pic. You could've pulled back a little and gotten all of the three flowers, that might've been nice.

Nah...don't know how to go about it. Not that I would even if I did. Thanks for the comments guys...this one's likely done.

i am 14 years old and i dont have a good camera, i have a old a-1 and i am trying to learn as much about it as i can, i rely on the pros, like you guys, and girls, to help me out, before i start getting really advanced. now the first kinds of pictures i am going to be shooting or are shooting are all nature pics, like the one you see above you, but i was told that the flower that is in complete focus should be completely in the picture, in this peticularer one i would have focused in a little more to the right, but i am just a beginner so dont laugh at me please, and really not a photographer, please correct my thinking process because i know i am wrong, i have been lately getting bad info from some photographers, like for instance, i was told that lighting was totally different on a film rather then digital or vice versa, please correct me.
