Grinder with Sparks

Okay, a little background on these shots. My dad was fixing my brother's Fiero bumper which met the hitch of a car in icy roads last week and so his weekend project was some body work. My dad was grinding washers in the basement and I ran for my camera. He didn't want me to take regular pictures as he was wearing ski goggles that fit a two year old for safety glasses so I went for pictures of the sparks.

In my haste I didn't frame the first one so well but I was wondering what some of you could come up with. The last one is an edit I did. If anything, I can black out the background, create a mask in photoshop and get the sparks isolated to use in Text work or something similar for posters.

I may have to reupload them as they may appear dark to some of you. Not sure as my monitor skews to the bright side.

I actually like the first one as you have a slight refection from the table as a reference point, and the sparks look like they are coming at you. Nicely done!

I like the second one, as it leaves more to the imagination.

The first one I figure could pass as itself. The second one I think that I would black out all but the sparks and use it as a cookie cutter piece for other works.
