I did a search, and there are posts separately for each, but no comparison thread yet. Anyone ever put these 2 side by side?

I've wondered that as well. Thanks for posing the comparisan question, Hawk. The Vagabond is a simple package, though a bit chintzy feeling when you play with it and they supposedly have a number of returns. Conversely, the Innovatronix looks solid and beefy, but I read somewhere it uses a series of smaller batteries within it that don't hold up as well long-term.
This thread addresses several issues we should be aware of if connecting digital lights to any battery power: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=616857

used both the Vagabond 150 and the Tronix. I prefer teh tronix, however now i am on to the Vagabond II which i hear is much more beefy than the vagabond 150. so i will tell you when i get it.
