The images are top drawer, however for me it looks like you have tried to HDR them and taken away from the feel of the shots in my opinion. I especially love image 1, but I think the post processing has killed it slightly. I would also suggest maybe a tighter crop getting rid of the guy in the background, but leave the guy in the front where he is

Thanks, Glad you like them.
Thanks for the CC indigobox - I wasn't going for hdr but the first two are pretty heavily processed. I can see why some might not care for them.
I was having a little play in photoshop today and came up with this. The pavement looks pretty blotchy, but is was really difficult to blend that part...

nice shots, the HDR-ish pics grew on me after looking at them a couple times, they are different, sometimes different is good. Love the last series PS'd together.
a series PS'd of the first pic would have been pimp

Thanks guys, the blending thing is pretty easy once you get a workflow down...
If you have the time and are willing to provide a general overview of your workflow I for one would be very thankful. Photoshop is not my strong area. I do mostly photojournalism style shooting where editing is taboo so 97% of workflow starts and ends in Aperture.
I have been teaching myself Photoshop as I expand into other types of photography and this is one effect I want to try but have no idea where to start.
Thanks in advance for any info you care to share.

Sure Big K.
I start by opening the photo of the rider that is going to be at the front or on top. In the shots above it would have been the last photo in the series. I shoot raw so I adjust my settings in ACR as I see fit and then save the settings as a preset so I can use them on the later photos.
Once I have the first shot open I expand my canvas a bunch in both directions. I want to have some room to position the rest of the photos.
Then I open up the next photo in the series. I use the preset I created in ACR so I'm sure it will look the same as the first. Once open I click on the layer in the layers pallet and drag it onto my first photo so it becomes a new layer on the first photo. This first image now has two layers, the first and second photos. I arrange the layers so the first photo is on top.
Lower the opacity on the first photo. I then position the second photo using the move tool so that the back ground objects line up in both photos. In the photos above I used the curbing or the fence.
Add a mask to the first layer. Paint with a black brush on the mask over just the parts of the rider in the second layer that you want to show up. Raise the opacity of the first layer back up to 100%. Fine tune your mask using a black brush to reveal more of the background layer or a white brush to hide the background.
Once you have the two layers blended the way you want merge them.
Open the next photo in the series and repeat the steps above...

Thanks a bunch for the info. That is a huge help and will get me on my way to wasting lots of hours. :-)
Thanks again and have a happy new year.

Only if you are French :)
The sport was invented in the U.S. with the Superbikers races at Carlsbad, so I'll go with Supermoto.
