These are all great! The motorcycle one looks like it could use a little sharpening. Very nice work!

One could always nit-pick but I won't. I like them all, nice work.

All really nice except the motorcyclist is kinda soft.
You are 7 for 8. The B&W and Dog are sweet.

Wow. Excellent, excellent work.

1, 2, and 3 are just gorgeous.

4. I just love the way the bend of the arms and the hair frame the face, and I like the placement of the lower arm to continue that lovely curve.

5. Very good, but I don't like the hair out of focus in front of the eye. (Yes, the hair in front of the eye can work, but it needs to be very "specific." That is to say, the hair is sharp and detailed and smooth.) I also don't like how the sleeve on her outfit is sharper and more detailed than her face.

6. I just don't like that pose. I've tried it myself and can never get it to work. Her elbow is brightly lit and prominently placed, and her hair being cropped also leads you out of the picture.

7. Others have mentioned the softness, but I just love the composition on this.

8. Just lovely, although I wish the dog had just a little more room on the right of the frame to run around in.

On the whole, this is a lovely, lovely set. Excellent work!

In 1, I might clone out that little stem on the backside of the plant. I LOVE #2, I think you did a great job with all of these, and you have a pretty model!

Yeah, it is a little soft, but let me tell you it was taken at Assen amongst 100,000 people, through a mesh fence, in the (stop start) rain and moving at silly speeds. Now you understand i was lucky to get any kind of shot.

Thanks so far for your comments.

I took one from a different angle/perspective, but didn't like it as much as i cut the cross bottom off...

It would have been better if i either didnt cut it off, or took it from a lower angle, making the cross look larger and more dominant.

Nice series overall. I don't like the shadow on her cheek in #5 and #7 looks like it could use a boost in contrast.

I wasn't so keen on the first bike shot simply because he was riding away from the camera.
I also really like it's substitute, i like the way you have left loads of track for him to ride into...Nice shot that makes it 8 out of 8 then for me ;)

Thanks for that.

As for seeing the back of him, its Rossi, you only ever see the back of him, lol.
I actually like the first one better, because its an unusual angle compared to 'run of the mill' side-on knee down shots. It also looks like he has the track to himself, and i like the way the track winds off in front of him too.

Here are the untouched versions if anyone is interested. They have been converted from RAW to JPEG and reduced in size (to make a smallwer file size), otherwise completely untouched, and as the camera seen the photo...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v391/PCthug/motorbike/IMG_3290untouched.jpg

If anyone wants to see any of the other images, completely untouched, then let me know. Some have hardly had any adjustment, whilst the church has had a little (lots actually) more.
If anyone wants to mess around with my photos, if they can do better or just different, and print them on here then please feel free. Its quite interesting to see other peoples slant on things, as they sometimes come up with better ideas, that you may have missed yourself.
Its all a learning curve for us all.

I like 3 and 6 the most. Did you do any skin smoothing on her or does she just have extremely smooth skin?

She is (was, when i took this photo in late 2007) 15 years old, so had very smooth skin. She is an up and coming actress, and a daughter of a friend of mine.
