I took some pictures in the beginning stages of the snow storm that hit New England this weekend on an abandoned stretch of road.

I haven’t gotten a chance to go through all of them yet, but here’s a few of the ones that I’ve processed.

Let me know what you think, and feel free to comment on anything that I can do differently to improve these pictures as I’m still editing the bulk of them.

By the way, these were taken Friday afternoon, and I left for New York City on Saturday morning to come back to this on Sunday:

Don’t worry, I got out fine. Snow tires + AWD = Amazing!

not sure that the car is a nice object to focus on...the snow does not really come across white enough....

It probably doesn't help that my car is absolutely filthy in these pictures either, huh? I have a hard time getting motivated to wash it when it's freezing cold out, even though I hate seeing it so dirty!

So I should work on brightening up the photos to make the snow whiter? Or is it because the car itself is also white? (Or off-white in its current state of cleanliness)

They'd be an awful lot better if the car was clean.

I like 5 most. As for having it clean, blasphemy! It's a Subaru, it should be getting dirty.

I know...I was kicking myself the whole time for not washing my car the day before the snow hit.

But on the other hand:

As for having it clean, blasphemy! It's a Subaru, it should be getting dirty.

That is very true! :)

I could do without the pole in the first two, but like the feel of #3.

pictures came out great, you just need to clean the car first (or photoshop it clean) it's distracting. but other than that, great shots, i like the angles in all of them, and the compisition is very good as well

I like #3, especially the snow in the headlights :)

They seem to be all underexposed to my eyes, the snow and the white card got balanced to grayish by the camera meter. When most of your scene is white overexpose to get the whites white and not gray.
Hope it helps!
