and I didn't have my camera ready. My wife was at the other end of the house, sitting is her easy chair, watching TV, and out of the corner of her eye she sees something move on the chair next to her................. A MOUSE!!!!!! She asked me to get out a shotgun and "dispose" of it!!!!!! I did get a small trash can and "persuaded" the furry fellow into the can. By that time my wife was standing on top of a chair in the kitchen!!!! All this time I'm thinking that my 20 D is in the other room with the 100 - 400 on it, not the best indoor mouse hunt camera setup. I have a workshop out back where my cat lives, I got her 'cause I had too many mice out there!!!! I take the trash can with the mouse out there, wake up the cat (I figure that I'll be here hero for catching a live mouse for her), turn on the lights, show the mouse to the cat and the cat jumps up on top of the ATV and watches the mouse walk across the floor!!!!! I've spent the last 15 minutes trying to explain to my wife that we live out in the middle of the forest and have had more mice in the house than she would like to ever know about. Anyone have any ideas on how to mouse proof a house in the middle of the forest/mountains??????

I had a similar situation but with a female friend, a goat, and her standing on the bonnet of the car! I missed the shot of her on the car because the goat went for me.

Man, it's not every day you get a chance shoot your shotgun in the house!.
I have the same problem. Get the D-con. It's the only thing that works for me. (If you shoot em, you gotta clean up the mess:) )

Marie, :D:D:D.
...and the cat jumps up on top of the ATV and watches the mouse walk across the floor!!! :D
Every year, when it gets cold out, I have a few visitors arrive. Peanut butter works well as bait. Put the trap about 1" away from a wall or corner as they almost never go across the middle of the floor.
Oh, and you're probably feeding the cat too much!

The cat is geting one cat of cat food a day (the size of a can of tuna). She gets at least one or two mice every night but thats outside and in my work shop. She might be moving into the house soon...............

My father uses on his cottage an electronic device which give out extremely annoying high pitched sound (Bee Gees singing?) which annoys mouse so much that they are gone. Human can't hear the sound. I'm sure you can find something about that on Google.
