Okay all you Canon and POTN fans. Time to start the voting.
This poll is for the final design and color only for the Op Tech POTN camera strap. You get one vote so take your time and make it count.
The strap will be black and the lettering will be either white or red. No multi coloring is allowed on the strap. If you want multi colors, get your sharpies out.
This poll will run for 5 days at which time an ordering page will be put up for you to start and place your orders. This will be done through paypal.
Special thanks to Conk, Pcasciola and Pekka for their work on the designs.
So here are the choices:

I picked 4, but I'm in favor of any of the 3 red designs.

Ok, before everyone votes, keep in mind we have options on all these, so we are mainly voting on color and the general layout here. #1 originally looked like this, and will probably end up being something in between what is shown above as #1 and this one here, since these all have to be re-worked somewhat to fit into a 3/4" x 5-3/4" area and give the best readability:
Original #1:

Also, a lot of people are leaning toward white, and then using a red sharpie to highlight the Canon and/or the line, like these below. I kind of like this idea myself, but since we are limited to one color on the silkscreen, to get either of these below it would have to be a white silkscreen drawn over with a red sharpie.
#3 touched up with red sharpie:

#5 touched up with red sharpie:

Tough choice between 5 and 6 but I think the white stands out a little better. both have the same style. so it was just between the color.

#1 or #3 would be my choice ... red sharpied after the fact. I don't like the font in 5/6.

Depending on how this is going to be laid out on the strap, I have a hard time voting for any design. I asked in the other thread about where it is going to be placed. I wanted to know if it would be placed in the middle or on the ends? If in the center it would be hidden from view behind the neck. If on the ends then it would be visible in front. I really believe this is something we need to consider.

I like 5 the best, although it doesn't really ring my chimes. What I like about it is that 'Canon' is in a different font, which sets it off, even if its not the Logo font. White printing is the only option for me, and I want the stripe.

On an Optech,. the part that they can print on is only the part that goes behind your neck... so it's definately going to be centered.
I like #3...
The last two may look good to some,. but the typeface has no resemblance to the forum. I want my strap to match the forum logo,. ;)

I gotta go with #5. I love the fonts and the layout.
I (and I hope everyone else) certainly appreciate all the effort that has gone into this project and I'm definitely going to support Pekka and buy several strap!
(Honey, I got this nice new strap, wouldn't it look better with 1DMkII on it?)

Numbers 5 and 6 should not really be used because the Canon text is too much an separate entity which makes it visually imitate the logo. That is why it is also better to have the word canon in UPPERCASE.
In other words the whole name "CANON DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY" must be all uppercase and with same typeface and size.

5 and 6 *edit* the presence of 3 different fonts; look messy and less readable.
3 and 4 insist too much on Canon rather than on the forums.
1 and 2 are better balanced.
Red on black is less readable than white.
So my vote goes to #1.

From a design standpoint, I agree that 1&2 use the space the best,.
I like 3 though cause it will let me make a red "L" stripe!

Voted for #3. Hmmm, I guess I should buy a Red Sharpie now.
(maybe those selling the strap should bulk buy a bunch of red sharpies and sell them above cost for additional funds for the site)

But the Pcasciala #3 touchup aint that bad.

I'd like to just remind everyone that we have one color and one color only on the strap by the manufacturer. You want mulitple colors you'll have to get your crayons out.
Once the order page goes up the simple choice is that if you don't like the design, don't buy it.
This poll closes in approximately 36 hours. Make your choices now.

P.S. You guys have done a great job of taking this idea and making something we can be proud to show off. And be the first to add the strap to my signature :D

I voted for #3 because POTN looked best on that one.
I personally think "www.photography-on-the.net" should be on top going form side to side and "Canon digital photography forums" should be smaller and on the bottom, but given the choices available I like #3 in white the best. I have a red sharpie for adding the "L" line in later.

A fine choice - I'll be on the lookout. How long will the order page be active once it is set up? In other words, how long will we have to get our orders in?

I have the ordering page ready to go. We are just waiting for Pekka's final approval and then to run a couple of actual orders through it before we make it available to everyone.
The ordering will be done via Paypal, and will support credit card payments (also through Paypal) for those that do not wish to set up Paypal accounts.
