Hello,

Is it possible to have my G2 appear as a drive within windows when I plug it into the usb port? The reason I am asking this is so that I can transfers files and folders other than the canon images to and from the compact flash card, without needing to place the cf card into a card reader? Is this possible, or am I asking too much?! :)

Yes it is possible, but with windows XP.

Hi,

Thanks for that ... I gave it a go on a windows XP machine, but it still wouldn't show me the actual files/folders etc on the compact flash card. It looked as though XP was scanning the whole card and then just showing me the thumbnails of the images on the card, regardless of the folder structure etc.

Oh well, I might just have to spring for a CF Reader! :)
