How many people are located in South Korea. I will be moving there in February for a year.

I am living in Seoul; Itaewon area, but will probably be heading out in the next few months. Lots of great places to take pictures around Korea. I have been working here for about 18 years now, US civil service and contract for US Army mostly.

I have lived in korea for almost 2 years and seen every place there is in that great country. Unfortunately, the army wanted me to go somewhere else. There is so many places to visit and take pictures. From all the way up north at the DMZ or all the way south to Pusan (Haeundae beach). Wish i could go back.

Looks like it should be a good time to take some photos.

I'm in Korea now and will be here for another few months. I've taken a few pictures that can be seen on my flickr but there's so much out there that I wish I can be out with my camera everyday. I'm also hunting for a new lens since both my lens don't go past 40mm... hopefully I can find a good place that's not too expensive, otherwise I'll just purchase from B+H and ship..

Have you tried going to Technomart, Naemdemun and Yongsan?

I've been to Technomart and was impressed by their inventory but everything seemed pretty expensive. I walked through Naedemun but didn't have time to look around. I plan to revisit very soon. Never been to Yongsan but heard about it.. Do you have any idea which place is best out of the three to pick up a lens and maybe some accessories?

In my own experiences I found that accessories are cheaper in Korea than here (Canada), I found that if you went to the right place that I could find equipment at a little less than I'd pay in the states. (At the time I was looking at 580EXII's, I'm kicking myself now for not buying one). This was in May, apparently a lot of things just jumped in price, but I think deals were there to be had.

We went into Yongsan, bear in mind prices often fluctuate wildly between vendors. It's a little odd how one store could be so much more expensive than the other right beside it...
