Help with interracial couple

Some good friends of mine want a few couples portraits....they are an interracial couple, him being VERY black and her VERY white....

How in the world do I get a correct exposure here?

Im really stumped here, so any help is appreciated.

I shoot in AV. Check the histogram and go from there. May need to work some fill flash depending on the conditions. You can also shoot RAW which will allow more flexibility. Other than that, there isn't much else you can do.

If all else fails bounce off the side nearer to the darker skinned party, so less light hits the lighter skinned party.
