A little something different for me, lol, no I am not going soft, but I find that beauty is where beauty is . . . regardless. Let me know what you think of this new 'soft' side of me. I might not pass this way again, lol.

I always thought that I did not have 'that' side of my brain . . . lol. At least I don't get to see it very often. It was pretty brave of me to post this me thinks. So one could reason I still have the other side intact?
Thanks you two!

it's beautiful
especially top right corner showing the lacework
love the warm glow
really nice
romantic and warm feel to it
delicate material and showing different delicate shades of lighting coming through
it could have looked cold but you got it beautifully

Thank you Dave and Marie . . . don't make fun of me over this in the future. Me thinks it a weak moment perhaps. All sots are fun and I even enjoyed this one. Cameras are just so cool, and as a form of expression one might suppose there is no greater form.
As long as the guys down at the "Double T" don't see this . . . I will be ok.

Very soft and gentle - I like this sort of pictures !
To make it even more soft and gentle you can merge two exposures - this one and the other one from the same position, but entirely out of focus (set your lens wide open and focus it manually until you get extremely blured picture). The exposures can be merged in PS - just add a new layer and copy and paste into this layer the out-of-focus exposure. Then set the opacity to about 50% and go on from there - adjust it until you like the effect. You can even merge three or more different exposures with different levels of blur - just experiment and find the best effect !
Examples of such double- or multiple-exposures can be found in my gallery here (http://www.pbase.com/olegis/flowers&page=7).

LOL, thank you guys . . . I think. I think I need a 'second' screen name to post this type of photographs . . . I am not sure my 'local' friends would be able to understand this. Beauty is where beauty lies . . . and I seek beauty to photograph. I guess even if it makes one (me) a little giddy/queasy. I have to say that I like the shot or I would not have posted it. My wife called it a fluke, lol, but she knows I DO have a softer side.
Thanks for the PS tips as well. Perhaps I will give them a try. You learn by going outside your comfort zone . . . I suppose I will learn a lot because I am a bit uncomfortable.
