Interesting strike of lightning

bit of a weird strike I captured when we had a lightning storm a few weeks back

this was taken from my front door had to crop the photo a bit as I had issues with a near by street light.

This was the first time I have taken pictures of lightning, taken on my 300D with the Kit Lense.

This is an excellent shot! Was it a long exposure? I notice the moon moved quite a bit.

no that is from the street light, would have made life much easier if it wasn't there

I had the camera set for 30 second Exposure and was just hoping for the best
