Hello everyone, just thought I'd pop over and introduce myself. I made an introduction post here if you want to know a little more about me and see some photos:

Here are a couple of photos from the other thread:

For this last one the set up is as follows:
Canon 50D, 60MM canon macro, ISO 100, F5.0(?), 1/5 second shutter speed ( with tripod), dual ettl cable running two sigma 500DG super flashes set to the following: multi flash, power 1/32, (no umbrellas), 15hertz, 3 flashes.
this is virtually unedited due to restrictions of a contest it was going in.

You guys are really making me want to get some higher magnification macro equipment like the MPE-65!

I see some really great stuff around here, look forward to checking it all out and learning some new tricks!

Welcome, great work, i love that second shot. That first shot is really well lit, mantis really pops out at you. Look forward to seeing some more from you.

see a lot of Mantis shots on this forum but that's definitely a stand out shot. The other two aren't macro of course but great work with the multi flash to capture the leap.

thanks for the comments everyone. I guess I hadn't thought about the definition of macro before I posted the last two photos..... the second one I would still consider macro, the third one, definitely not. I suppose I don't think about it much. All I know for sure, is my 60mm macro stays on my camera more than anything else, haha....
Here are a couple of other more 'macro' shots to make up for my last two not being macro enough, lol.

When do you consider something as not being macro? I suppose when I see something in more detail then I can easily see by eye, I consider it a macro shot
