Hi, can anyone tell me if a USA warrenty is accepted in the UK?

Thanks

No, it is not. It would be concidreed a grey market item and Canon will not accept that warranty.

No. I have this exact same "problem" with Canon Korea not accepting a Canon North America warranty. Oh, well. I'll be back home soon enough.

I'm not toally sure about this, so you may want to contact Canon directly, but I've read in many places that their warranty on cameras is country-limited but on lenses it's worldwide. So it depends on what bit of kit you're asking about.

Depends on the kit and where its sourced.

Lenses are international, bodies and flashes are country specific.

If however you have an internationally sourced piece of kit but a UK receipt (I'm thinking Kerso here - kit sourced in US but he provides a UK receipt) thn Canon UK will honour it. This is fact and not assumption. My 1D2n had warrant work carried out by Canon UK even though it came from the US via Ian

You don't actually need the warranty card just receipt.

Yes Canon USA warranty accepted in UK but you need UK invoice too. Grey market is anything without manufacturers warranty. Regards Ian.
