I liked the wall and the bike so put them together.

Good job! I'd darken everything but the bike to put more attention on it. The brighter areas tend to make the bike look even darker. Take a look at POST #30 near the bottom: The gray bar at the center is the same density all the way across.

My program is basic so cant darken selected areas, just darkened the hole photo.

My program is basic so cant darken selected areas, just darkened the hole photo. Sooner or later you're going to have to bite the bullet & get PSE. Even free GIMP gives you a lot of options.
