You won't believe it. Today was my first time actually trying to get 2 bird shots printed in 16x20 format. I got 2 really nice shots from my 500L F4 IS and really would like to see them printed. Off I went to the Staples at 82nd street on Broadway. What do you know? Place handling copying and printing couldn't print out my shots. Why? Their color printer wasn't working......Is like going to a restaurant ordering food and was told to leave because they have no gas to fire up the stoves. That Staples is freaking horrible, especially the copying center. What the hell I was thinking?

Ritz Camera on 89th street on Broadway. Off I went. What do you know? Self service printing center. Great after I cropped and edited the shots at home I have to edit them AGAIN in their little dark terminal. For the life of me I couldn't get the terminal to work. I just want to hand them my flash card and just printed the shots. After playing with that stupid terminal (I couldn't imagine editing any shots using the software in that terminal) for 10 minutes, I just pulled out my flash card and headed back to work.

Try Mpix...here's the link: Mpix (http://www.mpix.com/)

All it takes is a couple of mouse clicks (you never have to leave home)...prints are usually shipped the same day or following day, depending upon the time. I just had about a dozen calendars printed...placed the order on a Sunday and had them in my hands on Tuesday.

Costco is cheap and will keep printing until I'm happy. I've only had to do poster size a few times, but not worth trying on my own printers. Takes too much ink.

Kiosks suck.

Submit them online and pick up. Have done so with Walgreens for years, Costco whenever I go with someone who has a card (though i have to do it in person there because my mom shops with different friends).
