Hi All,
I was wondering if any of you are using the new WD TV from Western Digital.
I purchased one a few days ago and I am surprised at the video quality. It plays my mts
files strait from the memory card with out any trouble.

I really want one of these babies. So it does 1080p, no problemo?

How come my $1200 laptop can't? :)

According to the specs, with the new firmware it will even do 1080p 24
Files from my hf100 play great (1080p30)

The only thing I have had trouble with are files I converted with imovie08. These are the ones that imovie uses not the export files, they all play ok.

Pictures look great too.

My mbp doesn't do well with these files either and it was $2k This is the cheapest thing I have seen for playing avchd files unedited.

I had one for a day. I had problems with audio sync on a bunch of my files and a lack of a network jack made it slightly inconvenient as I would have to unplug a hard drive from my main machine and plug it into the WDTV.

For the average user, it is perfect and simple to use. I opted to spend $150 more and upgrade my HTPC to play 1080P videos.
