Sorry if this is the wrong section.

I have a 20D, and I'm wondering if there is a way or device that would allow the auto transfer of pictures to a computer as soon as they are taken? It doesn't have to be wireless, just work lol

Thanks

Have you checked out EOS Utility that came with the camera?

Actually, no. I got it second hand so I didn't get the software. But I will look into it.

Is it done through USB?

Yes, it is. There's also Remote Capture from Breeze Systems (http://www.breezesys.com/) to do much the same thing, but with a few more bells and whistles.

Out of curiosity, which one is it that I need to download? There are quite a few lol

EOS Utility, Zoom Browser, EOS Capture and the WIA Driver at a minimum (I'm assuming XP). Digital Photo Pro, Picture Style Editor and PhotoStitch are also useful tools, just not for remote shooting. Get the latest version number available for each one.

The programs available for download are upgrade versions. You need to have older versions already installed.

Or you can follow the instructions here (http://www.adidap.com/2006/11/02/what-to-do-if-you-lost-your-canon-software-cd/) to fool the upgrade into thinking you've already got the old versions installed.
