It's a great message that will do wonders for their company, and they're right. Just today I had a girl about 13 years old say to me that she wishes she could be as beautiful skin as lady ga ga. She had nothing wrong with her own, it was just a bit dry and she wanted the "glossy powdered look" she saw in the magazines and the videos. I told her that lady ga ga was airbrushed to ****, of course this didn't mean anything to her so I showed her this video and a couple of shots of before and after photoshop.

Teen girls especially don't know enough about the behind the scenes or the making of the glitz and glamour industry; they, like everyone else for that matter, see only the result.

It's a topic being discussed in all places, in great essays and gov't offices.

In my opinion the public should be informed if photomanipulation on this level is done by an agency/a studio/the photos in this magazine are manipulated by (so and so).

A lot of the younger generation (girls especially, but guys too) I work with reflect the standards they see in magazines and try so hard to change themselves and their look, spending thousands and thousands of dollars to get that airbrushed skin or those perfect white teeth. Hell some companies even advocate (crest; whitening strips) the use of unrealistic beauty products.

In a perfect world, people would realize the beauty they had...and the rest can be fixed by your local studio photographing studio ;) for a fee.
