Hi, i wondered if my camera was faulty when i use exposure compensation?I turn the off on button to its highest point, then press the exposure compensation button while rotating the dial. i can set this to say +1,that is fine , when i then press the shutter button halfway to take a shot the camera lcd shows the compensation symbol but the exposure level indicator remains in the middle. is it just me or have i got a duffer, thanks for any info,, Jerry

There is no button to press, so are you pressing the button to activate 'flash exposure compensation'? This will not affect ambient exposure. To set exposure compensation simply ensure QCD is on, then meter and turn QCD as required, you'll note that the lcd shows it's set. OTOH yours might be broken and I misunderstood.

As I recall, you have to press the shutter halfway before doing exposure compensation
