Yesterday I was asked to take photos at my sisters 50th wedding Anniversary.
I’ve had the Canon 40D for about one year, but have only taken landscape pictures and some indoor snapshots on full auto mode. It will be a small wedding, all indoors. The church has a low ceiling and the reception hall has a tall ceiling. Flash pictures are allowed.
Canon EFS 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM | Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM
Canon Speedlite 580EX II
I could use some quick suggestions for lens settings and techniques. Should I try using the flash or not? What setting should work well with a tripod set up? What Picture Style setting? Before tomorrow I will try to read through the Forum: Weddings and Other Family Events.
Thanks for any suggestions

You don't need a tripod. Put the 17-55 F2.8 IS on the camera, ISO1600, F2.8, Av mode, and hope there's enough light you don't need a flash. If you do then try bouncing the flash off the ceiling, still ISO1600, F2.8. For the reception you could try bouncing off the wall, or shooting entirely ambient. Without radio triggers you're otherwise limited. Good luck :)

Thanks for the advice.

Most of the photos turned out well, only a few were too grainy to be used. My sister is happy with the photos so I guess that is what is most important.
