We are coming to the end of 2008 so I figured I start this thread up for all you macro photographers to post your personal favorite macro photos taken in 2008. :D

Please keep it to 3 photos max! ;)

Here are my favorite top three Macro photos (to my eyes).

This photo was hard because these things are constantly moving real fast ;)

very good mite shot - hard to get that much detail even when stationary for 0.5sec.

LindaB,
Your DF in my garden is my favorite ;)

Thanks John - apologies for two things  firstly for posting 4 pics (I must have missed that sentence in your original post) and for not commenting on yours (fuzzy head due to one of the many colds circulating lol).

So without further a-do, I think your aphid birth is fantastic - these arent easy shots to take.

Thanks - yeah, I wasnt sure myself at first. Its not a shed skin, it was alive - I found it in the bottom of a hanging basket. I have seen their eggs before, but never this stage.

Here's a link to another view of it upside down, where you can see the snout shape more easily

Oh and by the way. All of the shots are excellent. Linda I really like your water droplets. I just never have been able to get them to come out right, but I keep trying.
