Titanium, firstly, welcome and thanks for posting. As for the pics, I like the second one. I know you posted it as a 'test' for critique so I won't hammer the lack of subject and action. I think the HDR effect will appeal to some competitors and won't appeal to others. Personally, I like it when mixed with a fisheye or a 10-22 (or similar) so I say, use it! But you do need to get closer to a main subject or some action etc etc. Obvious criticism. What you should do is look at some of the other paintball pics in these forums. It will help you improve more than relying on feedback. Best of luck and I look forward to seeing some more.

I like the effect in #2 and #3. Did you use Photomatix to achieve the result?
(More close up shots needed imo!)

Like the Effects......
But you have to Remember that paintballs about People.... Not dark skys
Try to get a better story and then add effects remember a good Image consists of good Light and a good compostion.....
Keep it Up

I'd like to see this pic if there were someone making a move from the laydowns in the foreground. You get a shot of them bunkering someone from bunker to bunker than the focus of the pic would be the paintballers. Right now you might as well have taken a pic of the field without anyone on it.
Love the processing/fisheye/HDR... but it's not working on this pic. There's no focal point.
One of the best photos that I've seen in paintball with an HDR "feel" to it is by Matt Dawson.

It keeps the focus on the player and get's a great view of the sky. Remember that when players set up you usually have at least 10 seconds in that pose to get some diff exposure shots before the start-countdown is over. It'll let you get enough to work with for HDR.

I like the ideas you have going here, and the last one is superb. However, for the group shot, they may not want the red to be removed as that is their team color. Is there any processing you could do and show us what a red version of it would look like?
Very cool effects though!

Hi Jeff,
I really like these, IMO they are some really good interesting scenery pictures but not really paintball pictures.
Did you use multiple exposures to create these HDR photos?
See you on the field

thank you very much..... on the last picture, actually that's a 5 exposure
-2, -1, 0 +1, +2 and adjusted some setting on my photomatix, then I dumped it to lightroom to reduce some noice and and twick the brightness and contrast to create more lively color. Also, as you can see the original pic you can't hardly see the facial reaction of the player. but with the help of the lightroom the player's face are pretty clear.
Hope I explained it well.....

Hi Jeff,
I really like these effects and I want to try this but I have a question. Since you used multiple exposures how do you compensate for the motion of the player?
Gary
