go to www.tripodquickrelease.com (http://www.tripodquickrelease.com). You may find a plate that fits your stitz. I also have a stits and found the plate I needed, it is a QS-29 by vivitar and measures 1 5/8 inch by 1 5/8 inch. A friend of mine has the same tripod and I used that plate for the measuremnet.

Thanks I have a Kalimar video - a Taiwan knock-off but it's light , sturdy and looks like it will use same plate .
I need at least 2 more of the QR plates for it . I swap out the plates for different tripods when I go walking . I don't mind dragging the Bogen around a church or party - but in the field , it's lighter is better .

To those that are searching for Stitz Video equipment I too have some that I got at a garge sale. I bought a Quartz Halogen Video Light, Model VL-1225, with 250 Watt Halogen bulb.

I have a brouchure with the Video Light I bought, (for $5) at the grarage sale.
It lists two "exclusive" US distributors for the Stitz Video Equipment.

Satter, of Denver Colorado http://kaceyluvi.blogspot.com/2007/12/satter-family.html, (Phone 712-898-0418) And is for the Satter Family, but the main headliner seems to be Kacey Luvi, and lists business as "Make-up, Photography and Design" I have not explored this yet. (actually I did leave a voice mail with my e-mail address and phone number for this company)

The other of the two US distributors, listed on the "brouchure" that by the way says it was printed in Japan is:

PHOTOCO INC. of Cleveland Ohio, 44128
info@photoco.com
1-800-955-5505 (9:00 a.m. to 5:500 p.m. Eastern Time)

I talked to a man named Michael Thomas(Guessing on the spelling of his name?)
And asked whether they still carried Stitz Video Equipment, or if they had any contact information for the company. I gave him my phone number and e-mail address and he said he would try to get back to me on Monday. (Today is Friday and it is about the end of the business day, there in Cleveland. Time here in Washington is 1:00 p.m. PDT.)
I'm not much of a blogger or "post-er" so hopefully I have not broken any of the web site's rules!
