I have only had a camera on me once in my life when I encountered similar light. It was around 1963.

At that time, I had a friend sitting on a rusted old plow in a treed New Jersey bush. I do not even remember the rayed light -- but it was on the image.

So, this is wonderful and I suspect rare light. So look for more such opportunities and alternative subjects. I t seesm to me that you are on to something quite rare and wonderful.
