#1 and #3 look like they were taken at high noon. The overhead sun casts harsh shadows. Did you use a fill flash? In #1, it looks like her lower body is in full sun and upper body in filtered shade, causing uneven lighting. In #3, the forward part of his hair appears to be the focal point, which puts his eyes out of focus.

I can't remember what time it was exactly when i shot 1 an 3 but it was a bit past 4 PM i think but here in Miami the sun is always hard. They're just some old pics I edited today.
