I have a 20d and a 550ex speedlite...in the manual it refers to the two types of cameras that it works with and has specific will's and will not's with both types....so...which is the 20D, a type A or type B ????

The 20D is a Type A camera.

Thanks Dave...nice to be here...I have changed jobs ( a year ago in november) and don't have as much extra time on the computer...aggggghhhh I hate it when I actually have to do something! However it has opened up some opportunities to do some photo for pay on the interiors of yachts..so I'm boning up on my lighting...as well as finally finding the need for some small studio setups...any ideas on what is reasonably priced with excellent quality??

I use Alien Bees but have been looking hard at the Genesis line. Very reasonably priced units. If you are talking about shooting inside yachts (one cool job by the way) I would probably use shoe mount flash and Cybersync radio units. Both are small, powerful, and easy to set up.

If I had my druthers and the money I'd probably buy Elinchroms.
