I need a bunch of different ideas for family poses in a studio. I'll be doing couples, children, and full famililes (from 5-6 people). I would love to see a bunch of different poses so they would have some choices. I know I could go to some photography websites and see what I need but I'm having a tough time finding some pictures of poses. Any help would be appreciated. I know the rules of portraiture from photocamel, but I could really use some actual pictures (as many as possible) of different poses. Thanks.

Did you ever get any response? I'm needing the same type of stuff...family poses, ideas for family with same children.

I bought this book (http://www.amazon.com/Portrait-Photographers-Posing-Guide-portraits/dp/1419652338/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1240536143&sr=8-1) on amazon. It is mainly cartoons, but it is a quick read and gives you lots of ideas to use as a base ;)

a rule of thumb that I use is to think of the composition in creating pyramids (or triangles). If the group is large enough, build several and stagger...
Play around with it til you feel comfortable... but it feels pleasing to the eye.
