and came across this. I thought it looked really cool so I made a couple of photos. I liked the B&W shots. This is one of my first B&W photos What do you think?

That would have caught my eye too.
The only downside is the branch that interrupts the visual line from the water down to built-up ice below.
It's probably the poor resolution on my laptop screen, but the B&W didn't come across with some snap, for lack of a better word. Maybe a side-by-side comparison with color ???

You are right about the branch, I'm going to go back and see if I can take this again. God knows it's so sold here it couldn't have changed that much in 2 days. I didn't even notice the branch in my LCD as I was checking out my photos before I left.
