I know how to function this camera perfectly fine. But when it comes to close ups and using the "f-stop" I have no clue. I need this for my line of work (forensics) and would love to learn.

I am trying to figure out where Canon got these setting for the S100.

If someone can explain where they are getting these setting, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

You will not be able to adjust aperatue (f stops) but for close ups, use the macro button on the camera.

What is the macro button you ask?

Look under "control functions in record mode" section.

I find it better using the LCD to compose and check focus in macro mode.
