As I promissed in anther thread, here are a few pictures from the Trans Siberian Orchestra show in Cleveland December 29, 2008. I was sitting 5th row center.

I was using a cheap p&s that did very poorly in the lighting conditions. They turned out very noisy. Took over 400 shots, most were horribly blury. About 90 were either in focus, or were only somewhat soft.

Of those 90, there were 30 decent, and about 10 keepers. Killed the battery on the camera about 2/3 of the way through.

I was there first for the concert, the photo op was secondary. If I got 1 keeper then it was a success.

Enjoy

Not too bad considering the circumstances. First and last are nice images, but indeed all except maybe #1 are technically "challenged".

However, could you please alter these images to embedded instead of attached?
The Image Posting Rules (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=157528) state:
You may attach *) maximum of two (2) photos per thread.so this is a bit much ;)

Thanks.

boufa, you can attach 2, but link directly up to 8 in the first post. You don't have to do 8. If you need a hand, just ask.

They look like a very interesting act to shoot - looks like you did a reasonable job with the limitations of your equipment.

400+ shots with a P&S from a seat? If I was in your position I would have taken a few shots and put my camera away to enjoy the show (and not distract those around me).

I am fixing the post... sorry about the way I posted the images.

As for the number of pictures and watching the show... I enjoyed it. It is the 10th time I have seen them (and their 10th anniversary, but I am not bragging). The number of pictures was unintentional, I am not sure how I managed to shoot so much. A HUGE amount were totally blurry due to the constantly changing metering from the stage lights.

Hehehe. Not a bad thing IMO.
In these circumstances it's better to be safe then sorry :)

1 and 2 are good, the rest are blurry and look like they were heavily cropped for some reason.

Re-read and saw it was shot with a P&S, comments negated now that i know that. Lol.
