Northern Va. About 45 mins(with no traffic from DC like that ever happens) South of DC.

I ask as they've been back here for about one month. We had a bad ice storm last December and I know of three nests that were destroyed.

I'm having to figure out where these are moving, plus check up on the established pairs. We did see two immature ones along a river road yesterday, cool!

Drats! I was in Stafford this morning with a new-to-me 100-400! Wish I'd known then... (not likely to be any bald eagles here in Central Jersey!).

They do hang out along the Potomac south of DC. A nest caused some fancy work-arounds while the new Woodrow Wilson Bridge was under construction.

I live in the Shen. Valley, and have yet to see a bald eagle :(

Criminy! The only birds I see on the way to work are seagulls and crows traversing the 405!:)
