A few photos from this weekends tournament. Let me know what you think of them please. What can I improve upon.

I am happy with my composition, I need to work on my focus. May try some manual focus. But I think I am getting better as time goes by.

Rebel 350d and a Sigma 70-200 2.8. They are not cropped all that much.

What were your settings? It helps to post the exif data with your pictures.

I agree both look really soft. I prefer the first pic, because it is B&W. The 2nd pic is so soft that there really isn't an area of focus. It makes the picture come out as a p&s, because too much is in focus and it's all soft.
