I need help! I’m used to a camera-flip style flash bracket, having used a Stroboframe Camera Flip model for years with a Pentax 645N and a Canon D60. I used this setup at weddings, both freehand and on my tripod. To my dismay, my Canon 1Ds will not work in the Stroboframe Camera Flip bracket because the battery compartment at the bottom of the camera makes the camera body too big. The camera will only rotate 30 degrees or so. I called Stroboframe and they said to try a couple of their other models that look much larger and more cumbersome to me.
Does anyone know of another flash bracket that has similar characteristics to the Stroboframe Camera Flip bracket? I want it to be fairly compact and open on the right side so that I can hold my camera and shutter button with my right hand. I want to lift and rotate my Canon 1Ds with my right wrist, as I have found that to be the simplest way to switch from horizontal to vertical and vice-versa over the years.
Thanks for any ideas about a similar camera-flip bracket.
