On my way home this evening, an hour ago or so, I stopped to take this view of the valley (looking east). It is one of the most clear days we have had, it was good to see the other side of the place is still there and intact.
I try to shoot photographs at least every other day of the geese and ducks, I have plenty (more than enough) but the search and or hunt for the perfect shot keeps me going.
I hope this is an enjoyable view for those of you without snow and 'winter' as we know it. I like the golds and blue with a dash of white cloud.

Beautiful view. It does seem winter is releasing her grip, even if just a little. What mountain range is that?

Hi Mark . . . I think it is called the Western Wasatsh, to me is is just one ridge short of the western flank of the Rockies.
The south side of the slopes are clearing off but you can see we still have ice in the river. Geese like to park on it and preen.

Just a beautiful image, Rod. Of course, it contains at least two things we don't have: mountains and snow. I'm afraid if I lived where you do, I'd spend most of my time at GTNP. My few days there last summer just weren't enough.

Great shot, but it looks SOOOOOOO cold!!! I'm glad to see green grass beginning to come up here, even if it does mean mowing season is just ahead!!

Beautiful view, glad to be enjoying it from 73 degree California though. The snow capped Sierras are visible down the end of my street but we don't see too many geese or ducks this time of year. Always enjoy your photos ...........
