Ok guys I need some advise, I am going to the monster jam in a couple of weeks and on there website it says that still cameras are allowed but if it can be classified as a profesional camera it may not be allowed with out proior permission. Is there a waiver or some sort of form of aggrement that the photos will not be for comercial use? I did email the location of the event requesting permission giving them the camera make and model, just wondering if there is a different way of going about this. thanks

I did email the location of the eventThat's the best start you could make. But the location probably doesn't know what the promoter's restrictions are.
Try to get more info & print out the answer. There's always someone at the door that doesn't get "the word".

Ever been denied entry because of your gear? (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=281671)

bring your gears just leave any big whites home and leave the mono/tripod in the car. I've gone to numerous sporting events with my sigma 70-200/2.8 with no hassle.

yea thats what I was thinking, unfortunatly I dont have any white ones yet. I just dont wanna have to leave my stuff in the car and have to worry about it for the whole show.
