Equestfest 2008

[Tee Why]

This is an annual end of the year show put on by the equestrian entrants of the upcoming New Year's Day Rose Parade in Pasadena, just before the Rose Bowl.

Anyway, I was in the stands and felt that the most interesting folks were the fast stunt riding women, so I got a few pics of them. Tough lighting with fluorescent, shadow, and sunlight mixing and requiring very high ISO's just to get a decent shutter speed. Was panning for most to show some motion.

They're all great, but 2 and 8 are my favorites. I like seeing the panning with the carriage, it's a nice change from seeing all the cars.
