A colleague posted the following on one of the Croatian blogs:

STOLEN ITEMS:

Location: HOLIDAY INN LONDON

List of items:
Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8 L IS s/n: 325174
Canon EF 17-40 f/4 L s/n: 439721
Canon SpeedLight 580EX s/n: N/A

Canon second battery for rhe 1Ds MkII

The goods were by the front desk with the rest of the luggage chained to the cart and watched over by the staff before dep. It is strange that the surveillance system didn't catch the perp?

sad...when i check out and into hotels my gear is always ON me(backpack) nobody touches it and its never left with the bag handlers.

I dont trust them places, my work vans kept on getting broken in too. The cctv is never on..

Sounds like it was done by someone who knows the coverage of the cameras. I hope he gets his stuff back.

I know, I never thought something like this could happened in a "Holiday INN" hotel!? I home someone bumps in to this and hopefully reports. :-)

Holiday Inn London,

How big do you guys think London is?

There must be at least 10 Holiday inns in London, probably more.

By the looks of it, there's at least 45 inside the M25, most of those are in London.
